Hi, my name is Christopher.

I am 19 years old. I came "out" about 2 years ago. And here is my story…

It was during my junior year that I fully understood myself. I mean, I had an idea of what I was at the age of 11, but didn't fully understand till I was 17. I had just moved to a new town and didn't know anyone. So finding a mate was kinda hard.

I had lunch with this one kid, Adam, he was a year younger then I. He was really cute. But I never knew that about him. One day we were going to see a counselor for a friend who was having family trouble, he was standing there with his girlfriend and I made a comment to him and said that he looked like the type of person that went both ways. He answered "I do!" I gave him my number and we talked that night till the sun came up.

After a month or so, Adam and I started going out. And we kept a journal between each other in school; using different names incase anyone found it.

Well…

One day my mother was looking for a video of me in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a musical that her friend wanted to see. In my VCR she found a gay porn. She started looking through my room like you wouldn't believe. She found the journal and read every page!

She comes out and says, "What is this about? Who is this about? When did you decide that you were gay?"

So basically my mother flipped! Strange as it may seem, my father took it the best. All he said was "You're gay? Use a condom." That is all he ever said about it.

So that is my story, sorry it is long and boring.
